John Jaynes

John Jaynes oversees all ground handling operations at Envoy, where a workforce of over 13,000 employees manages 1,425 daily departures across 116 airports in the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean. Previously, he served as Vice President, Airport Services Planning, overseeing Envoy’s ground handling business with key airline partners such as United and Delta. His roles at Envoy have also included Vice President, Divestiture and Transition Services, focusing on the potential divestiture of Eagle, as well as Vice President, Airport Services and Vice President, Operations Planning and Performance.

John joined American Airlines in 1985 as a Crew Systems Analyst, and he has since held various management roles in marketing and planning, including Managing Director – Marketing Planning/Consumer Research and Managing Director – Food and Beverage Services. John joined Envoy in 1998.

John is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a Master’s Degree from MIT’s Flight Transportation Laboratory.
