The American Airlines Professional Women in Aviation (PWA) Employee Business Resource Group recently hosted the 2nd Annual Women in Aviation Day with the Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida in Miami, FL.

Event organizers from both American and Envoy welcomed over 200 Girl Scouts between the ages of 12-14 years old, as well as Miami-Dade Mayor Danielle Levine Cava and county commissioners, to the American Airlines Miami Maintenance Hangar. There they visited with professionals in the field and got an up close and personal look into the flight deck of an AA Aircraft.

The event aimed to showcase the opportunities available to young girls in the aviation industry and inspire them to pursue a career in the field of aviation. Attendees provided overwhelmingly positive feedback, with girls and adults alike expressing their appreciation to the Envoy and AA Team. Even Mayor Levine Cava praised everyone’s efforts and committed to returning for another appearance next year.

Kudos to all who made this event a success!
