Envoy hosts RAA Workshop on Safety

RAA

This week, Envoy hosted 50 members of the Regional Airline Association (RAA) at our headquarters Training Center, in town to attend the Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) Working Group meeting. AQP is a voluntary and more rigorous alternative to traditionally required training, and seeks to increase aviation safety through improved training and evaluation.

The working group consists of representatives from regional airlines, as well as major airlines, data system vendors, the FAA and TSA. The purpose of these meetings is to learn and share information and lessons learned about AQP – especially beneficial for flight attendant groups, since currently published AQP guidance applies only to pilots. There are group sessions as well as breakouts to discuss more targeted topics of interest to specific groups.
