Our vision is to be the safest, most reliable, most successful regional airline in the world for our customers, employees and shareholders.
Envoy Air Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group (NASDAQ: AAL) operating more than 150 aircraft on nearly 1,000 daily flights to more than 150 destinations. The company’s more than 16,000 employees provide regional flight service to American Airlines under the American Eagle brand and livery and ground handling services for many American flights.
The company was founded in 1998 as American Eagle Airlines, Inc. following the merger of several smaller regional carriers to create one of the largest regional airlines in the world. Envoy is headquartered in Irving, Texas with large operations in American’s hubs, including Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, Miami, New York, and Los Angeles.
On April 15, 2014 the company changed its name to Envoy Air Inc. to distinguish the company from the American Eagle brand, under which several carriers operate regional flight service for American. American Airlines Group is the holding company for American Airlines, US Airways, and Envoy.
Envoy is undergoing a fleet transformation, welcoming brand-new, two-class Embraer 175 (E175) aircraft to our fleet. The spacious 76-seat E175 offers a seamless travel experience to customers connecting to and from mainline flights. We currently expect to operate at least 69 E175 aircraft by the start of 2020.
As we welcome the large E175 regional jets to the fleet, Envoy continues to operate a substantial fleet of jets, including the Bombardier CRJ-700 (63/65 seats), the Embraer 145 (50 seats) and the Embraer 140 (44 seats).
We’re hiring hundreds of employees across all work groups to operate our expanding fleet.
