IAH team handles first 787 diversion

Envoy’s overnight ground handling team in Houston (IAH) had their hands full last week, as one of American’s new Boeing 787 aircraft made an unexpected first arrival in IAH in the form of a diversion.

“A huge shout out to all the Customer Service Managers and my overnight crew, as well as our ops agents,” wrote Lead Station Agent Jeff McFarland, commending the team for their outstanding performance. “Everything went smoothly – we figured out a game plan and enforced it – communication was 100%!” Not only did the team handle the unexpected arrival, they turned the flight in just 65 minutes!

Hats off to Jeff and Station Agents Josefina Fuentes, Joseph Lonon, Oliver Gatling, Jorge Escobar and Amaury Fernandez; and Lead Station Agents Toni Williams and Deondrik Pitts. “Please applaud them for their hard work and dedication!” added Jeff.
