Remote Operations ready to go in LaGuardia

Preparations are underway for the big move at New York LaGuardia (LGA), coming Dec. 9. And one of those moves includes a new “remote operations” area for regional flights.

Last week, in coordination with the New York Port Authority, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Envoy safety team, the Envoy Customer Services team in LGA tested out the new area.

“We selected two flights for a trial run and bussed customers out to the remote ops area,” said Jed Luke, Envoy Director, LGA Operations. “The event was a success – passengers were receptive to the new process, and we treated both groups to the Refuel and Refresh program as well. From Dec. 9, we expect to operate between 12 and 15 regional flights from the LGA remote operations area.”
