Chili that’s a work of ART

Posted

Watertown, New York. Famous as the birthplace of safety pins, home of Little Trees car air fresheners and now – the region’s best chili!

Last week, Watertown (ART) Station Agent Roger Craig (left) teamed up with TSA Agent Tony Bender (right) to take home the grand prize in the amateur category of the town’s 19th annual chili cook off competition. “Roger and Tony beat out more than 30 other competitors to take home the grand prize with their three-bean, four-meat chili, with bacon, sausage, ground beef, sirloin steak, and pinto, black and kidney beans,” said ART General Manager Cheryl Weaver. “I’m told that there are a few other secrets to the recipe, but they’re keeping those close to the chest ready for next year’s competition.”
