60 second interview: Deesha Desai

Posted

Based at Envoy Headquarters, Deesha is the Managing Director for our ground handling operations team.

How long have you worked in aviation?

I’ve been in this industry for almost 12 years now.

What attracted you to this industry?

My sister worked for Envoy (then American Eagle) when she was in college and enjoyed her time here. I followed along!

What advice would you give to those starting out in your field?

Learn as much as you can and stick close to those you work well with – they can be your mentor.

What’s the most rewarding part about your current position?

Among other things, my team helps bid for and start up new stations. It’s great to make a difference and expand the number of Envoy-operated stations in the system. I feel like we can make Envoy a better place through our processes.

What’s a fun fact that people might not know about you?

I was Miss Tiny Star America in 1989!
