Marquette hosts annual Safety Day

Posted

June is Safety Month, and to celebrate the Envoy Maintenance team in Marquette (MQT) held their annual safety day on June 6. Events included fire extinguisher training, active shooter training and other safety demonstrations to ensure we’re running a safe and compliant operation.

“This year was all about partnership – we had guest speakers from Sawyer Airport Fire & Rescue, the Marquette County Emergency Planning Committee, the local Sherriff’s Office and Police Dept., and more,” said Jason Markle, Envoy Safety/Security Compliance Coordinator. “Many folks have never used things like fire extinguishers, or might not know what to do in the event of an active shooter situation at our facility – now everyone is more prepared in the event of an emergency.”
