A Second Cup Win for RSW

Fort Myers, Fla. isn’t just home to beautiful beaches and scenic sunsets. Recent winners of the American Airlines Customer Cup for the first quarter of 2023 can also be found there.

This win for both the Envoy and American Airlines teams at RSW was well deserved, but it wasn’t a first for the teams. They first brought home the trophy back in the fourth quarter of 2016.

Even after dealing with the impacts of Hurricane Ian, a Category 4 storm that devastated Florida’s west coast in late 2022, the team persevered to win the Cup once more.

“Our team is very resilient,” said Envoy RSW General Manager Maria Mayoli. “We went through a major hurricane that affected us in many ways, but the team stayed focused and committed to the operation.”

Not only did Team RSW win the cup after some challenging weather situations, but they also outperformed in nearly every metric measured. From On-time Departures and Turns, to the number of passengers they interacted with every day, RSW proved an increase in performance across the board.

“We have a strong partnership with our colleagues at American – both teams are committed to bring their best every day,” Maria said. “I’m very proud of Team RSW – they are amazing and I’m so happy to be a part of it.”

In June 2023, Team RSW hosted a party to celebrate the win with hardworking team members from Envoy and American. American Airlines Managing Director of Eastern Region Stations, Scott Clementi, American Airlines General Manager of RSW, Robert Conwell, and Envoy Regional Managing Director Central West, Cliff Coll were all in attendance to thank the teams and join in on the fun.

“This win is a fantastic accomplishment for the RSW team,” said Cliff during the celebration. “I’m happy to see such a dedicated group of hardworking people bring home a well-deserved win.”

Congrats on your second win, Team RSW!
