World Turtle Day: The Tale of Tug 🐢

In honor of World Turtle Day today, we’re sharing the story of how a Foreign Object Debris (FOD) walk in Pensacola (PNS) went from routine to really cute.

As Customer Service Agent Sarah Belle walked the ramp, she noticed something unusual on the hot concrete – a small turtle inching its way across the ramp. She picked up the little traveler with its sun-warmed shell and instantly knew the determined turtle was special.

ā€œFrom that moment on, Tug the Turtle became more than just a rescue story – he became part of the Envoy PNS crew,ā€ said Envoy PNS General Manager Watsen Jean-Gilles. ā€œTug stands as a symbol of vigilance, teamwork and the unexpected joy that can come from simply paying attention. He reminds us that every FOD walk matters, not just for safety, but for the surprises hiding in plain sight.ā€

The Envoy PNS team has since made Tug their unofficial mascot, and it serves as a reminder to take time, always look twice and never take Safety for granted. Kudos to Sarah and the Envoy PNS team for your diligence and attention to detail. Happy Turtle Day, Tug!
