Envoy continues to strengthen our partnership with Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) by hosting two engaging events at its Kansas City campus—one in the morning and another in the evening—to connect with both day and night students. This event comes just one month after Envoy and AIM announced their partnership at the Chicago campus, where Envoy awarded two scholarships to Chicago-based AIM students.
The Kansas City events were attended by PHX Maintenance Base Manager, Nathan Hewitt, Manager of Air Operations Recruitment, Steve Cates, and Air Operations Recruiter, Dan Adams, who represented Envoy and shared their industry experience with aspiring aviation maintenance professionals. A highlight of the day was Envoy’s commitment to supporting student success by awarding three additional scholarships—one each for day, night, and weekend program students at Kansas City.
“An A&P license doesn’t just lead to a job; it opens the door to an entire career with room to grow, lead and specialize,” said Steve. “We have countless supervisors, directors and other members of leadership who started with us as AMTs before growing into the roles they have now. This license opens up your future to many opportunities at this company.”
Following each ribbon-cutting ceremony, Envoy representatives remained on-site in the sponsored room to host Q&A sessions. These informal discussions allowed students to ask questions, gain career insights, and better understand what to expect as they move into the aviation workforce.
We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with AIM and look forward to seeing where it takes their students!
