Supporting our communities after Fiona and Ian

Posted

Hurricanes Fiona and Ian have devastated many of the communities in the southeast United States, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. In Fort Myers, Florida, Envoy held a food distribution event to assist employees who were without water and electricity following Ian’s landfall.

Up the road in Sarasota, American employees delivered an assortment of snacks and shelf-stable food for colleagues and their families to grab and go as needed. In the Caribbean, AAG employees in Santo Domingo donated food and potable water to their colleagues in Punta Cana.

Employees affected by these hurricanes were provided with help from the American Airlines Family Fund, which provides financial assistance to team members affected by natural disasters, emergencies and more.

Additionally, you can support American Red Cross disaster relief, for which more than $2.7 million has already been donated to support those in need. American will award 10 AAdvantage miles per dollar donated.
