Envoy Employee Recognized for Safety Leadership

In August, American Airlines announced its 2025 Safety Champions. This is an annual award presented to American Airlines Group (AAG) employees across all AAG carriers to exemplify safety leadership.

We want to congratulate the Safety Champion from Envoy, Nicole Richardson, Fleet Service Crew Chief at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)!

For Nicole, the award is more than a title—it’s a testament to the values she lives by every day. “It means a lot to know my peers appreciate working with me in a safe manner,” she shared. Her commitment to safety is rooted in a simple but powerful motivation: making sure everyone gets home safely.

One moment that stands out in Nicole’s journey happened in the bag room. She noticed a coworker preparing to drive out with an overloaded cart. Rather than letting it slide, Nicole stepped in, ensuring that the cart was reloaded properly, preventing a potential hazard.

Nicole’s approach to safety is grounded in teamwork and vigilance. “It is a team effort,” she said. Her advice to others looking to build a strong safety culture? “Follow all the rules. They are made for us to be and operate safely!”

Congratulations, Nicole! Thank you for keeping DFW safe.

Safety Champion award winners were nominated by their AAG colleagues who spoke to real examples of their safety leadership and character. Safety Champions receive 100,000 Nonstop Thanks points (equivalent to $1,000 USD) as well as a Safety Champion pin and certificate. Additionally, winners and one guest were invited to a special award celebration in Dallas-Fort Worth with members of American’s leadership team.
