Two Years in a ROW

Roswell Air Center (ROW) hosted the National Championship Air Races for the second consecutive year, and our Envoy Air Operations Recruitment team made sure our presence this time was just as big as our last.

Between Envoy pilots and Air Operations recruiters spending time on the ground throughout the week speaking to aviators and enthusiasts, and a special static display of one of our Embraer 175 (E175) aircraft flown in just for the event, attendees had tons of opportunities to learn more about life in the Envoy flight deck.

“Many of the kids, and even some of the adults, who come out to see the races have never actually seen or been on a commercial airliner,” said Envoy First Officer Jennifer Carlson during the event. “Bringing our E175 into an event like this is so special because it gives us a great opportunity to connect with future aviators and maybe even see that first spark in their eyes when they decide that a career in a flight deck is where they want to end up.”

Though the Air Races were previously hosted at the Reno Stead Airport (RTS) Nevada, they moved to Roswell in 2025, and that move didn’t deter any race fans. Thousands of people still came from across the country to take part in the five-day, action-packed event.

With over 120 aircraft racing throughout the week, our E175 was just one of many planes attendees could see. Between static displays of military aircraft and a special performance by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, there was something for every type of aviator to enjoy.

“It’s really great to see how successful this event still is, even after moving to a completely different airport in a new city and state,” said Envoy Regional Managing Director, West Region, Timarty Stitt. “It’s also exciting to see our Envoy ground team here in Roswell get the chance to jump in and help where they can with this event in between catching some of the races.”

With so much fun packed into the week, we’re already missing ROW and looking forward to next year’s event!
