Envoy Captain Samuel Strausser recently prevented a serious security breach at New York’s JFK airport, by stopping a mentally disturbed individual from entering an aircraft.

The man had reportedly stolen a truck, abandoned it outside Terminal 8, then forced his way past the TSA checkpoint into the departures area. He managed to access a secured passageway downstairs before emerging near Gate 37, where he attempted to run down the jetbridge to a waiting aircraft. Thankfully, Capt. Strausser was there to stop the man before he could enter the plane – and kept him subdued until law enforcement could arrive and take him into custody.

Way to go, Captain!
