Representation in Aviation

Representation Matters

Advancing representation within aviation requires significant investment and continual engagement – and Envoy is dedicated to both. However, building long-term change can’t be done alone. That’s why Envoy is proud to partner with organizations committed to diversifying the aviation industry, including OBAP, WAI, LPA, PAPA, and NGPA.

  • Women In Aviation International (WAI) is the largest organization in the world dedicated to increasing the number of women involved in all aspects of aviation and aerospace. As an international nonprofit organization, WAI provides networking, education, mentoring, and scholarship opportunities for women and men in careers in aviation and aerospace.
  • The National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA) is the largest organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer aviation professionals and enthusiasts from around the world. Since 1990 their mission has been simple: to Build, Support, and Unite the LGBTQ aviation community worldwide. Through education, social events, and outreach, they strive to promote safety in aviation, provide a professional network for the LGBTQ aviation community, foster equal treatment, and encourage members to pursue their aviation careers.
  • Founded in 1976, the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the encouragement and advancement of minorities in all aviation and aerospace careers.
  • Professional Asian Pilots Association (PAPA) is dedicated to bringing awareness and support to all members of the Asian community in all fields of aviation.
  • The Latino Pilots Association (LPA) is committed in its mission to inspire, develop, and support the Latin/a/e/o/x aerospace & aviation communities; further eliminating socio-economic barriers through representation, financial support, education and mentorship.

In addition to these organizations, we are proud to support veterans and military servicemen and women. Read more about our efforts.
