Celebrating Rock Valley College A&P grads with a night of networking and opportunity

Posted

Last month, Envoy Air Operations Recruiters hosted a celebration for the newest Aviation Maintenance Technician graduates from Rock Valley College. At a special dinner event coordinated by Air Operations Recruiters Alystia Tobie and Ivan Ochoa, Envoy welcomed the Director of Rock Valley College, Yacolyah Mohammad, four of our own Chicago-based mechanics, including Line Base Manager Christopher Perez, and 30 Rock Valley College students and graduates.

Rock Valley College is a comprehensive two-year community college in Rockford, Illinois, offering an Aviation Maintenance Technology (AVM) program that prepares students for a smooth transition to the workforce. The AVM program is certified to provide approved instruction leading to FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate examinations.

“Our partnership with Rock Valley College is incredibly valuable as they provide high quality training,” said Envoy Air Ops Recruitment Manager, Eric Rose. “They offer a learning experience in both the instruction lab and classroom environment that really prepares their students for the job.”

The highlight of the night was the number of successful hires, all set to embark on their careers at Envoy’s Chicago (ORD) maintenance operation. Many of them are scheduled to start in January, with the remaining starting in the first quarter of 2024.

Congrats to all the graduates and welcome to the team!
