On March 27, Safety took center stage during the Envoy team’s “Walk of Safety” event at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The annual safety fair provided employees with a chance to walk the red carpet and refresh their knowledge of important safety factors while enjoying delicious food and engaging with colleagues.

“Ensuring safety throughout the operation is paramount in aviation,” said Dakota Weeda, Envoy LAX Safety, Training & Compliance Manager. “Incorporating engaging activities into our safety initiatives keeps awareness high, and this year’s safety fair was a standout!”

At the Hollywood-themed event, employees visited booths decorated like action-packed blockbusters and timeless classics. Amidst the glitz and glamour, attendees engaged with safety demonstrations, interactive games and informative sessions led by aviation experts for a chance to win one of many raffled prizes, like a 55” TV, wireless headphones and more.

The day wrapped up with awards presented to star-studded employees who have dedicated their efforts to cultivating a safe work environment.

Deesha Desai, Envoy Vice President of LAX Hub, expressed satisfaction with the event’s turnout and impact.

“Our team had a blast this year, from the lunch we served to the games we played and the swag we gave out,” she said. “With enthusiastic participation from both LAX-based employees and headquarters leadership, we can confidently label this year’s safety fair a resounding success.”

With its innovative approach, the “Walk of Safety” at LAX, highlighted the Envoy team’s commitment to ensuring safety remained center stage throughout the year – we’re looking forward to next year’s event!
