Since Envoy took over operations at YYC in 2023, Sandeep B. has worked diligently to ensure that the station remains compliant — even during her time off. Her flexibility, dedication, and the care she shows toward her team are the reasons she has been recognized with the 2025 President’s Award. This award highlights her commitment to excellence and represents employees who excel in their service to customers and coworkers.
Sandeep’s passion for aviation began after completing 12th grade when she decided to study travel and tourism and started working at the airport. “I began my career as a Customer Service Agent, then I became a Customer Service Lead, and now I am the Compliance Coordinator at YYC,” Sandeep shared.

“I have a great team that I work with, and we have a positive work environment,” she continued. “I feel proud that we’ve been able to keep our station compliant through all our audits and inspections.”
We recently spoke with Sandeep to learn more about her background at the company.

What do you believe sets your approach to work apart from others?
I think it’s my mindset, my passion, and, overall, the unique way that I work.
How do you stay motivated and maintain high standards in your work?
I try to stay disciplined; I always hold myself accountable and strive to provide clear communication.
Are there any memorable moments or significant milestones in your career that stand out to you?
My career milestones include my successful station audits because they reflect my progress at work.
What is a valuable lesson that you’ve learned throughout your career?
I’ve learned to trust but also to verify, and to always come to work with a positive attitude.
What advice can you give someone looking to work at Envoy?

Are there any hobbies or interests outside of work that you’re passionate about?
Outside of work, I enjoy weightlifting, traveling and spending time with my family.
