This summer, I gained valuable exposure to the many different teams that contribute to the airline operation by shadowing 10+ departments and sitting in on operational and leadership meetings. These experiences gave me a much broader understanding of how each team works together to keep the operation moving.
Throughout my internship, I supported operational teams by developing sustainable automation tools, supporting performance initiatives and using data analysis to help inform and drive operational strategies. I also had the opportunity to collaborate with peers on projects and experience aviation from unique perspectives, including sitting in on an aircraft pushback and witnessing a heavy maintenance check.
One of the most impactful highlights of my summer was being voted by my peers to receive the Future Leader Award. Being recognized by the people I shared this experience with made this award especially meaningful, and it is something I will carry with me as I begin my career.
From day one, Envoy Air showed me what a family-oriented culture looks like, and I’m incredibly grateful to have experienced it firsthand! I’m leaving this internship with many new skills, meaningful connections and a deeper love and appreciation for the airline industry. I’m excited to carry everything I’ve learned into the next chapter of my aviation journey.
