In celebration of Black History Month, we are sharing some quick interviews from some of our African-American Leaders across all work groups throughout the Envoy system. For this edition, we have Jared Harvey who is the Director of Maintenance Safety and Compliance working at our headquarters in Irving, Texas.

How did you start out in aviation? Are you still in the same role?

I started off as an aircraft maintenance technician at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

What’s the most rewarding part about your current role?

Being a part of a Safety Team that is leading the industry in regards to Safety Management Systems.

What does diversity mean to you?

Diversity means understanding and appreciating different points of view from my own.

What’s one interesting fact about you that others might not know?

I laugh out loud while watching horror movies.
