In the wake of Typhoon Halong many coastal communities in western Alaska have been left facing significant challenges — from damaged infrastructure to displaced families. In response to this crisis, United Cajun Navy (UCN) reached out to Envoy’s Baton Rouge (BTR) team to help coordinate the transportation of much-needed relief supplies to affected areas.
Working together with American Airlines and American Airlines Cargo, Envoy helped organize and ship critical items from Baton Rouge (BTR) to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and onward to Anchorage (ANC). Relief supplies included 10 pallets of boxes, containing everything from coats and jackets to underwear, gloves and scarves, shoes and more. The coordinated effort successfully delivered hundreds of pounds of essential relief goods to support impacted families and recovery teams on the ground.
This initiative highlights the strength of partnership and compassion within our aviation community. The quick collaboration between the TSA, UCN, Envoy, American, and American Airlines Cargo teams ensured that vital resources reached Alaska communities when they were needed most.
“Moments like these remind us of the power of teamwork and our shared responsibility to help those in need,” said Envoy Baton Rouge General Manager Denice Cardona.
Envoy extends heartfelt thanks to our colleagues at American Airlines, American Airlines Cargo and UCN for their tireless commitment to caring for others and making a difference when it truly counts.
For those wishing to support ongoing relief efforts in Alaska, please consider donating to the American Red Cross or United Cajun Navy (UCN).
