The Women of Envoy (WE) recently hosted an event with a focus on mental health and well-being. The event featured two guest speakers — Envoy Vice President of Airport Services, Jude Mayeux, and Grace Women’s Organization CEO, Crystal Sinclair.
She Is Grace
Grace Women’s Organization is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women thrive mentally, physically and spiritually. Crystal shared simple tools during her presentation for managing stress, encouraged attendees to recognize its early signs and offered a reminder, “Get help in the moment, don’t wait until it’s chronic,” she said. You Don’t Have to Carry It Alone
Jude’s follow up comments highlighted the company’s Employee Assistance Program eConnect® mobile app*, which offers secure, confidential counseling, mental health resources, self-assessments, flash courses, financial calculators and year-round support for stress, anxiety, burnout, grief and substance use. He reminded attendees that asking for help is a strength, “We are built to connect; we cannot do things alone, so know that asking for help is not you surrendering — it’s self-awareness in action,” he said.
Prevention is Key
Both guest speakers discussed the importance of recognizing the early signs of burnout and stress and emphasized that saying no is a form of self-care. Crystal shared tips for using quick, in-the-moment resets to reduce stress and showed how you can build a personal wellness toolkit.
Flower Power 💐
To close the event, attendees enjoyed a networking event and had the opportunity to create their own floral bouquets. All attendees received wellness toolkits from Grace Women’s Organization.
The relaxing bouquet-making activity and toolkit items offered ideas to add to a personal wellness toolkit at home, as flowers can boost one’s mood and brighten your day.
