Ten years of Envoy Air

Posted

On April 15, 2014, American Eagle Airlines became Envoy Air. And today, we’re celebrating a decade of dedication, innovation and success that builds on our rich company history.

Over the last ten years, we’ve operated more than 2.95M flights carrying more than 140M passengers safely to their destinations. Earlier this year, Envoy surpassed 20,000 employees across 116 locations, who assist thousands of our customers and our colleagues every day.

Since introducing the Embraer 175 aircraft to our fleet in 2015 and the Embraer 170 in 2021, Envoy said a fond farewell to our Embraer 145 fleet and moved to a single E-Jet (E175/E170) operation in 2023. We now have a firm fleet commitment of at least 181 aircraft, with new deliveries scheduled for the coming months and years in coordination with our partners at Embraer.

But that’s not all – November 1, 2024 will mark 40 years since the first American Eagle Airlines flight from Fayetteville, Arkansas to Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas on a Convair 850 turboprop aircraft. Look for more coverage later this year as we celebrate another important milestone in our history.

As we reflect on the past and look towards the future, we’re filled with gratitude for everyone who has been a part of our journey. Thank you to everyone who continues to make Envoy great.
