Today, April 15, American celebrates its centennial anniversary. On this day in 1926, the first American flight carrying mail between Chicago and St. Louis took off, launching what would become 100 years of connecting people and places. Across the network, teams are celebrating this historic milestone.
This anniversary also marks an important chapter in Envoy’s story. April 15 is the day American Eagle Airlines became Envoy Air, and today we’re celebrating 12 years of dedication, innovation and success that build on our shared legacy.
Thank you to every Envoy employee who goes above and beyond to support a safe and reliable operation. Your commitment keeps Envoy strong and helps move the American Airlines Group forward.
Congratulations on 100 years of American. We’re proud to be part of the legacy that continues to move our airline forever forward!
