American Airlines and Envoy made history yesterday with the first nonstop flight between the United States and Venezuela in seven years. Flight 3599 departed Miami (MIA) at 10:11 a.m. bound for Caracas (CCS). The departure included a celebration at the gate where American welcomed customers on this milestone flight. The flight also served as the inaugural flight for the Envoy-operated Embraer 175 America 250 (A250) aircraft.
This milestone event was covered by local, national and international news. “American Airlines and Envoy Air are making a global impact, and our companies are being felt across the world,” said Envoy President & CEO Pedro Fábregas. “From Miami to Caracas, our teams are delivering and winning on a truly international stage.”
