This year marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. To commemorate this achievement of our nation, American Airlines and Envoy partnered with America250, which included plans to decorate two American Airlines Group (AAG) aircraft with the official America250 logo. And the Envoy-operated Embraer 175 (E175) livery is now here and flying around the system.
During a special event hosted at Envoy’s Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) hangar, American CEO Robert Isom was joined by Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and America250 Executive Vice President Jen Condon to reveal the special livery to the public.
During the event, attendees had the opportunity to meet team members and leaders from Envoy and American and take photos with the new aircraft before the aircraft departed for Miami (MIA) to operate American’s inaugural flight to Caracas, Venezuela (CCS).
“As the largest regional carrier for American, it’s a great honor to see our aircraft chosen as one of the two that is representing this partnership with America250,” said Envoy President and CEO Pedro Fábregas. “It’s also exciting that this same aircraft operated the first commercial flight connecting the United States to Venezuela in over seven years.”
Between American celebrating 100 years of commercial aviation and the nation as a whole celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of The Declaration of Independence, this partnership carries a lot of meaning, not only for the teams at Envoy and American, but for all of our customers across the globe.
