Girls in Aviation Day (GIAD) is a global event hosted by Women in Aviation International (WAI) to inspire girls aged 8-18 to pursue careers in aviation and aerospace. It takes place annually and involves local events at airports, hangars, and museums where girls can meet female aviation professionals, explore aircraft, and participate in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activities.
This year, we’re thrilled to share that the Envoy team will be participating in three upcoming Girls in Aviation Day events. Each event offers a unique opportunity to inspire future aviators and highlight the many rewarding paths in aviation—from pilots and mechanics to dispatchers, station leaders, and beyond.
Our employees and volunteers will be on-site to:
-
Share their personal aviation journeys.
-
Provide insight into career opportunities available across the industry.
-
Answer questions, offer mentorship, and encourage young women to dream big.
By showing up, engaging, and supporting these events, we hope to leave a lasting impression that aviation is not only for everyone but also full of opportunities waiting to be discovered.
We look forward to meeting the next generation of aviators, engineers, and leaders—and we can’t wait to be part of their journey. Stay tuned for photos, stories, and highlights from each of the three Girls in Aviation Day celebrations we’ll be attending this year!
