Event Recap: Envoy Names Little Rock Its First Maintenance Center of Excellence

As we shared last week, we’re growing our Maintenance operation at Clinton National Airport in Little Rock, Arkansas (LIT). To mark the event, members of Envoy’s leadership team were joined by representatives from across Arkansas at our LIT maintenance hangar to officially announce the expansion of Envoy’s maintenance operation in the city.

In addition to sharing that our maintenance workspace in LIT is doubling, the location was also named as the first official Envoy Maintenance Center of Excellence, which will provide more expanded work opportunities for the Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) that call Little Rock home.

“This new facility will not only establish more work on our planes that arrive here every day but will also allow our AMTs to take on more advanced work,” said Envoy Vice President of Maintenance Jay Murray. “In addition to expanding the hangar space itself, we are also adding a few specialized shops as well as expanding our parts storage space.”

Jay was joined on stage by airport, city and state representatives – including Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. and Clinton National Airport Executive Director Suzanne Peyton – to share this major announcement with local business representatives and media outlets from across the state.

“The city’s longtime partnership with Envoy and American Airlines demonstrates confidence in our community and our highly skilled workforce,” said Frank. “We are grateful for this announcement and for the continued growth and opportunities at Clinton National Airport and across our city and region.”

The expansion of both our operation size and our scope of work at LIT is sure to see many new career opportunities for AMTs looking to work on our growing fleet of Embraer E-Jet aircraft.

“This latest investment in our airport and community reflects continued growth and opportunity,” said Suzanne. “The Center of Excellence will create and sustain quality jobs, further position us for new flights and generate meaningful economic impact for our region.”

Thank you to everyone from Envoy, American Airlines, Clinton National Airport and the city of Little Rock who helped bring this expansion and announcement to life.
