Today marks the 30th anniversary of American Eagle service in Springfield (SGF) and the Envoy team gathered to celebrate the history they have made there.
Station Agent Becky McDaniel and Lead Station Agent Chris Wilkshire were both there on that first day and had lots of memories to share. With only three flights a day to Dallas/Fort Worth when it started, they recounted how much Springfield has changed over the past three decades. In the early days, passengers walked out on the ramp to board aircraft, and the boarding gate and baggage claim were in the same place!
“It was so nice to see so many of the SGF team there to celebrate Becky and Chris,” said Regional Managing Director Ann Marie de la Paz. “It was priceless to listen to the stories of their first day on the job, the changes throughout the years and how much they still enjoy their jobs.”
