Envoy Captain inspires future women aviators

Over the weekend, Envoy Pilot Recruiter, Captain Jessica Hines traveled to Milwaukee to participate in the STEaM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) Girl’s Summit, an event created with the goal of engaging more women in male-dominated fields.

The event, hosted by the Milwaukee Business Journal, consisted of panels and breakout sessions featuring girls and women who are succeeding in the STEM fields, including Captain Hines. In all, more than 400 young women, parents and women professionals took part in the first-time event.

“I enjoyed the opportunity to open up these girls eyes to the possibility of being a pilot. If I have just inspired one to pursue it, I’ll be a happy woman,” said Captain Hines.
